Macassar Ebony B&S, Spalted Maple top

As I started playing Asturias for the demo video I was immediately impressed by her outstanding sustain and clarity of sound, especially in the trebles. The separation of voices is second to none and the bass literally saturated the microphone on the camera when I hit the 6th string with the whole nail. I had never used Spalted Maple for the top before and I find it to be a top notch tone woods plus, it looks marvelous with a somewhat ashy coloration and a marvelous marble-like figuring throughout. Macassar Ebony on the other hand is one of my all time favorite tone woods. It delivers profound bass and looks to die for. The figure on Macassar Ebony is always stunning especially when it is originally of Sulawesi (Image Below).

I used Cocobolo Rosewood for the fingerboard in order to augment the contrast and proceeded to use a rosette and wood marquetry to combine for a perfect match. She works perfectly as a Hauser although adding a double top would definitely augment sustain and add extra punch to an already very generous bass. Cutaway is the way to go since I consider it the best addition to the classical guitar. The cutaway not only found a place in the classical guitar world but I am certain that more and more players will move to the cutaway shape due to the greta ease of play it offers to the left hand.
