Tamarind presents itself in a stunning variety of figures that allow the luthier to express himself to the highest levels of artistry when it comes to matching it with the top, bindings, linings and the countless details that make a masterpiece concert classical guitar. She belongs to the Bellucci limited edition series because this Tropical wood is very hard to come by and I will only be able to build a few of these amazing guitars. Matching the back and sides with a marvelous set of Sinker Redwood top allows the instrument to produce perfectly defined basses with big sustain. The trebles on the other hand are crystal clear and carry the melody to perfection. The use of both the Tamarind armrest and violin tie allow the top to vibrate fully thus allow the guitar to perform optimally. At the same time, the violin tie prolongues the life of the top exponentially because all the strain generated by the anchoring of the strings is passed on to a much more resistant part of the instrument. In Romance you can appreciate the perfect vibrato generated by the first string, the perfectly balanced second and third strings and the supporting bass that creates the perfect background onto which all the other voices shine. In Barrios La Ultima Cancion, you can admire her expressive power, the presence of the tremolo carrying the epic melody and the accompanying bass that performs in a basso continuo fashion enhancing the movement of the main melody. She's responsive and a pleasure to play thanks to the thin neck, low action, set at 3,5mm at fret 12 and the perfect string tension under your left hand fingertips. S.D.G.
