The Eagles, "Desperado"
An Epic Piece from the 70s
Upon first hearing the song one would think that Desperado is about a cowboy who refuses to fall in love. In fact, it can also refer to a young man who loves guitars, joins a band, pays his dues and suffers. The Dalton Gang was also part of the inspiration to this great piece. The Eagles constantly stressed that being a rock star and suffering for your art "go hand in hand". It was Linda Ronstadt who really made the piece legendary. She was a close friend of the band members and she had made it to "fame" much earlier than The Eagles.
The Eagles are undoubtedly one of the greatest Country/Rock bands of all times and the recent death of one of it's key members Glenn Frey at the age of 67 was a true loss for the musical world especially since The Eagles was playing always more often at venues around the globe.
Renato Bellucci plays: "Desperado" S.D.G."
