This beauty is literally a Tiger Guitar. Pau Ferro, (Ferro means Iron: Iron Wood). It is Bolivia's holy grail wood although the species also blossoms in Brazil. It possesses one of the most beautiful grains on the planet. It resembles the fur on a Bengal tiger. When I couple it carefully with Spruce, Port Orford or Cedar and use the right marquetry along with a stunning Suriname Snakewood for the fingerboard and matching bridge, then it is really easy to feel as though you are in the presence of the feared feline. I recommend Hauser construction and Doubletop because it adds tremendous sustain. One or 2 soundports are also highly recommended. The sound she puts out is full, bright and wonderfully sustained. Few instruments will seduce you as The Tiger does. This is one of my favorite Bellucci Guitars Models and all my Tiger Guitars have turned out to be perfect instruments both visually and sonorously.
