Gabon Ebony is the reference when you mean the color "black". It inspires the construction of an all-black guitar. I topped the back and sides with Italian Spruce and painted it black because the player who commissioned her, wanted her to emulate the "Zorro look" as much as possible. The traditional cutaway and electronics make her apt for all types of musical scenarios: the studio and the stage. She is tremendously easy to play and her looks are breathtaking. I play Gabriel's Oboe and a Brazilian Choro on a similar guitar, equal in every detail -except for the cutaway-. The detailing on this amazing beauty are beautiful and elegant. The rosette was handmade in Russia and I match it with the binding and purflings.
