Bach, "Minuet #2"
Transcription and Fingering: Renato Bellucci
Renato Bellucci teaches Minuet 2 by J.S.Bach. This is a wonderful complement to the immortal Minuet 1 that I have developed into a Masterclass on mangore.com a few years back, (visit the masterclass here). "The Minuet" by Bach (originally in G) is without a doubt one of the 5 best known melodies ever composed. Minuet 2 is a lower profile, less known melody than it's Minuet 1 counterpart, still, it is as beautiful and poses some amazingly beautiful and genial musical ideas by the German master. The 2 minuets really shine when performed back to back. It poses quite a few challenges. Mainly you will have to keep the melody in center-stage and make the counterpoint as clear as possible. There are a few technical challenges, mainly the 2 stretches at the very beginning but you will play through them with ease if yo get your whole playing apparatus involved in the playing.
