Yuka custom Ordered this magnificent beauty from Fukuoka, Japan. His request for an African Blackwood Doubletop could not have been any better. The Sinker Redwood top gives Yuka's guitar a presence that only Blackwood can deliver by preserving the depth of sound and that "owl" type of sound so typical of the Tanzanian tonewood species. I made the second top of Spruce thus enhancing the mid and high ranges and Yuka's decision for a Lattice braced top made the instrument a perfect concert instrument for both the concert scenario and the recording studio ambience.
