New Masterclass, "Can You Feel The Love Tonight", Elton John
Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Tutorial Video 1/8
This is a tremendously beautiful and majestic song by one of all time most inspired British composers: Sir Elton John. The piece requires a good understanding of the use of "levers & pivots" in order to be performed flawlessly. Levers & Pivots allow the left hand to move more precisely because they optimize the movements of the left hand and help choose the best set of muscles and tendons for each fingering scenario. Typically, there is always a point of contact between the left hand and the fingerboard. This point of contact is usually either a pivot or a lever. The hand is in its most unstable and prone to error when no left hand finger is in contact with the fingerboard. Can You Feel the Love Tonight is a great tune to add to your list of movie soundtracks, one that will gain you some very well deserved cheers from the audience.

My new CD has been a project "in the back of my mind" for quite some time now. So I decided to move for a whole week to my lake house overlooking Lake San Bernardino knowing that it is very peaceful and quiet thus creating the perfect conditions for a recording. Well, it is Spring down here and you can hear the blossoming nature displaying her "vocal faculties" in some of the quiet moments during the performance... I will leave them all there, I like their presence. These are the raw recording prior to postproduction. The Movies is the title of my new CD and will carry never before recorded transcriptions of Movie themes. A world premiere. I will launch the new CD at a concert at Banco Central Auditorium in Asunción, Paraguay on November 20th 2014. Hope to see you there.
