Edward Elgar, "Pomp and Circumstance"
Transcription & Fingering: Renato Bellucci
If you live in America and if you have ever taken part or assisted a graduation ceremony of any kind, it is very likely that you have heard this beautiful march. Unlike other marches, this particular one is the only march I can listen to outside of its intended scenario.
The Pomp and Circumstance Marches, Op. 39, are a series of marches for orchestra composed by Sir Edward Elgar. The piece offers the possibility to work chords in both a "block format" and in the "arpeggiated form".
